Face Forward

Laminated wood relief self-portrait created for an invitational exhibition sponsored by
The Jacksonville International Airport Art Commission. Created on a given 24 inch square wood background, my submission used scanning technology to create a virtual facial contour model, which was then CNC cut from 1/8 inch thick plywood and laminated into a 3D relief portrait.

Birch Plywood, 24” square x 4” depth.
